Catching Elephant is a theme by Andy Taylor
Two days ago I decided to take a drive to see some water. Around me I tend to get that urge a lot - I reasoned why later when I drove back. I went out to the Straits Lakes near Orchard Lake north of 14 mile Rd. in Michigan. It was most splendid. About 5 different lakes all around you. It seemed in the 40 minute drive that the further I drove away from where I was the more rich - monetarily and naturally the atmosphere became. Not surprising. But I why must I feel I need to see trees and water sometimes? It is the very fact that God says in Romans 1:20, “For his invisible attributes, namely, his eternal power and divine nature, have been clearly perceived, ever since the creation of the world, in the things that have been made. So they are without excuse.”
You see God REVEALS Himself to us in things He has created with His hands. Yes, He has used us and given us the ability to create technology - BUT His eternal power and divine nature are revealed when we’re able to get away from the things that don’t really show His character or nature.
This is not a complete save the trees and preserve the lakes from wind turbines speech, but I know for me, I received this revelation of God - that He draws me closer when He reminds me through His creation that He infact is not invisible but very tangible :) I love Him because of that!
