CHOMAH - THE BURNING WALL!

The Lord standing on a Wall from the Zurich Bible

Before a meeting with a couple of students, I was asking the Lord for some wisdom on how to see the situation they were facing as they see it. And the Lord began to show me how it was as if they were standing in front of an 8-foot wall and looking straight at it. He began to show me how if we were only to look up that we would see Jesus’ hand extended towards us to pull us up on top of that wall. And if we were to do that, we would stand in authority with Him through the Spirit, showing us that we have overcome that “wall” - or in Hebrew “chomah”. Chomah, means a defensive wall of a city or fortress.

The Lord just began unfolding our need to rely on His resurrection power. It is so great. It is so powerful. But, get ready, we must get over ourselves! By DENYING ourselves daily so that we can look up to even accept the hand of Jesus extended to us - we will then choose to see Jesus and our authority with Him.

He stands on that wall, His wall of fire… but our wall of humanity. Saying He has overcome the wall, look, see, that it is burning!

It was raining this morning and the news said rain all day, BUT God knows the time when He shall be glorified… and by golly He held back the rain right when the Prayer Walk in downtown Detroit was about to take place! The sun came out and as we were singing ”How Great is Our God… sing with me how great is our God!” the sun burst through the clouds. It was as if God communicated so expressively His being well-pleased with the sacrifice of our praise. What another humbling experience to lead worship with my friend Danny Landon on the guitar, while 28,000 people passed by us praying with the Spirit for the city of Detroit! And what an even greater honor was that we were stationed along the walk right next to the Spirit of Detroit! Which, humorously, proved quite a hike to get to before the walk started, as it was at the very end :)

But this walk was much much much more than just 28,000 people getting together. It was the fruit decades of prayer. Many people have prayed for the unity of the churches in Detroit… but this time, because it was about our Savior Jesus Christ and not about the reconciliation of the churches, the church has come together.

I was just at a Praise and Sharing for the pastors and ministry leaders involved with EACH and it was so encouraging to hear that 20-25 ministry networks have been formed across the Detroit Metro area and that cities like Cleveland and Minneapolis are looking at EACH for there own major Metropolitan areas. And further, that this wasn’t just an event, but the practice time for what is about to come in Detroit for many years. That we won’t be telling our children about what happened… but about what is still happening because of what started last June 2010!

In April, I received a earthly reward that I treasure… and that would be my ministerial credentrials. That night, God confirmed that He indeed has called and equipped me to go out and share the Gospel not only through spoken word but through song!

The Fireplace - Day 17

What is the new church? We will be led by people who have actually seen Jesus and been in His presence, with signs and wonders that accompany them, with a whirl of the Spirit and revival glory that surrounds them! The awakeners will be arising to consume the locusts - the swarming, the crawling, the consuming, the chewing. This is a call to those who are called to a life of consecration, to those who have the appearance of war horses, to those who are not pedestrians of the kingdom but to another level!

The Fireplace - Day 15

Release the suddenlies! Baptize us, Revive us, Ignite us with the Fire and Power! Make us more like You Jesus! Turn us into the burning ones! Step in to the fire, step into the flame and receive the fanning in to flame of the gifts inside you! More zeal, more more more more!

The Depth of a Stronghold

Two nights ago, I dreamt a second time of our need to repent. As I was tossing back and forth for a couple hours, I was dreaming of something but all I could hear and remember was repent - not just personal repentance but a corporate repentance. ( Mark 1:15, “The time has come,” he said. “The kingdom of God has come near. Repent and believe the good news!”)

And while I was hearing repentance as clear as a sounding alarm, I also dreamt of flying from the outer courts of the galaxies. It was intense as I saw the vastness of space. As I was brought through the galaxies, I began to see our solar system and the sun. But right as I came upon the familiarity of our solar system I was made to look down and was shot into a gigantic asteroid - like the asteroid from Armaggedon. Once into the depth and the darkness of this mass, I saw the Earth’s surface and a particle from the asteroid that had broken off and hit, destroying what around it - like a lightening bolt. This ended the dream.

I felt that the Lord was saying as we enter in to the inner courts from the outer, and begin to destroy the strongholds in our lives from the inside out - things will break off (our favorite sins, our anger, our easy offenses, the old) and as the passing earth will be destroyed (not literally).. the Word says in Revelation 21:1-5, “Then I saw “a new heaven and a new earth,” for the first heaven and the first earth had passed away, and there was no longer any sea. I saw the Holy City, the new Jerusalem, coming down out of heaven from God, prepared as a bride beautifully dressed for her husband. And I heard a loud voice from the throne saying, “Look! God’s dwelling place is now among the people, and he will dwell with them. They will be his people, and God himself will be with them and be their God. ‘He will wipe every tear from their eyes. There will be no more death’ or mourning or crying or pain, for the old order of things has passed away.”He who was seated on the throne said, “I am making everything new!”

The Fireplace - Day 13

What a night of stripping away the old - church, self, thoughts - for the new. We want holiness God. We don’t want this diluted, tasteless, faithless Word anymore! No more spirit of offense and anger!

The Fireplace - Day 11!

Listen and receive the faith and power and glory to believe for what God has said is POSSIBLE in the impossible world. To believe God for miracles, signs and wonders!

One night at 24Flood, our Dearborn House of Prayer, I was reminded of an image I was affected by that the Lord gave me while at Prayer Watch 2010 at IHOP-KC in August about the Bride of Christ dressed in WHITE! No ribbons, no stains, no extras… a wedding dress that was PURE WHITE and shining!

While I was at a prayer meeting in November leading worship, for a movement of God called E.A.C.H. happening in Southeastern Michigan, the Lord gave me a song about getting back to His heart and what that really meant. I shared this message on a couple Sundays after.
